When my husband was transferred to Chandler two years ago and I found out that we would have to move from our home in Boston to Arizona I was heartbroken. I had lived in Boston my whole life and never considered living anywhere else. A native of bean town, I did not think desert life would suit me in the least. I must say that I stand corrected! This move has been like a breath of fresh air to our family.
Chandler is a wonderful town with friendly residents and a very relaxing lifestyle. The desert is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, especially at sunset and since moving here, my family has spent much more time outside. My husband and I have started golfing out at Bear Creek and are getting pretty good at the sport while enjoying the beautiful landscape there. My oldest daughter has started participating in acting classes at the Center for the Arts, which offers a wide range of activities for kids and adults alike. My youngest daughter is an avid swimmer and has joined a team based out of the Hamilton Aquatic Center. There really is something for every member of the family here.
The city also has tons of special events. Right now we are looking forward to the Halloween Spooktacular which is held every year. Also, Chandler is a much safer place to live then Boston ever was. I feel much better about letting my kids play outside and be independent here. It has been five years since our move and while we do enjoy the occasional visit to Boston, Chandler is now a place we are proud to call home. Submitted to: Bank Owned Homes Chandler
After several years living in the city of Chicago, I felt it was time to move out of an extremely dense urban area.
I was looking to move out somewhere west, somewhere drier, hotter, and sunnier than Chicago. Then I found Chandler. What a fantastic place. The Arizona climate is perfect all of the time; hot and dry days, cool and dry nights.
The desert is simply stunning, and great to explore the local hills and trail areas around the town. As a big fan of the Theater, I was relieved to find the Chandler Center for the Arts. A great little space that has some of my favorite shows playing every few weeks. And the museums -- What great art and exhibits! I love the train museum; I haven't seen one of these since I was a boy back in my home town. The western art is also really excellent, and I feel I have gained a larger respect for the culture that comes out of this area of Arizona.
Chandler seems like a great place for families, as well as those looking to start families. There is always a large number of family activities going on in parks and at the school, and I see so many families every day on my way to work. I was extremely lucky to find one of the excellent deals on bank owned homes Chandler had to offer when I moved here.
I only have great things to say about Chandler. If you are looking for a change from the big city, this might be just what you need in your life.
