My family and I recently relocated to Chandler, Arizona after my husband's job required a location change. We were all pretty resistant to the adjustment, but what can I say, we have been beyond thrilled with everything that Chandler has to offer.

My children fit right into the wonderful school district, and had no problem making friends. As a parent, one thing I appreciate is the diversity of the community. We come from a place where there was very little diversity, so to see my kids making with friends is a fantastic thing for us.

The thing we love the most about Chandler is that there is never a shortage of things to do. There are wonderfully developed parks all throughout Chandler (including great dog parks for your four-legged friends), fantastic museums (our favorite is the Tumbleweed Branch), and lots of local, small businesses that we like supporting.

There are plenty of delicious places to dine that are different from your typical chain restaurants. They offer creative and diverse menus offering lots of locally grown products. The SanTan Brewing Company is a must see spot - we sure enjoy it with their own brewery creations.

The weather here seems like it is fantastic year round. We came from an area where it seemed like it always raining, so being able to go out to the neighborhood swimming pool pretty much whenever we want is beyond amazing. Overall, our family is thrilled with everything we have experienced in Chandler. My husband and I were looking for a new community to move to that would embrace all the interests and aspects we were looking for that would be the ideal environment to raise our young family in. We have moved around alot for work and were finally at a point where we were looking to settle down permanently.

At first I thought that living in Arizona would be difficult due to the perceived weather notions we had envisioned about living in the desert. However, we have never spent more time outside doing outdoor activities. We have gone hiking, biking and we swim almost every other day. There are numerous Aquatic parks to choose from and many parks are dog friendly which is perfect for our little four legged family member. Another activity that our kids (and us) love is the Playtopia park, which is a grand outdoor park that will keep your family entertained for hours.

Chandler is a wonderful town with loads of culture and character. We are fans of the Chandler Center for the Arts where they host many performing arts concerts and events. We have also become members at the Chandler Public Library. There are numerous special events throughout the year and we make sure to visit all the local festivals throughout the year. We always look forward to the Howlin' Halloween Spooktacular which is fun for all ages.

We love living in Chandler and are so glad that we chose to move to such a great all American city. It truly does have something for everybody. Chandler is a city that is rich in culture, history and diversity and a great place to raise a family. Submitted: Chandler MLS Real Estate Listings
