One of the reasons I love living here, is that the list of fun, family oriented, activities for Chandler, Arizona is endless. They are too numerous to name all, but some of my favorite parks, are listed below.

The Bike Park in Chandler, located at 450 E. Knox Rd., is known as one of the best facilities in the U.S., for BMX bike riders. It is free to use, but know that there is no supervision. With activities that users, from the novice to the semi-pro, find challenging, it's definitely the best of its kind.

The Chandler Skate Park, which is located at 4500 S. Basha Rd., opened in March, 2000 and attracts some of the most talented skateboarders in the world. It is a 35,000 square-foot facility which was designed for skaters of all skill levels. There is no admission fee. It is for use by skateboarders and in-line skaters and is a non-supervised facility. There is also a covered picnic area and playground, adjoining to this park. This park makes for a fun afternoon, for everyone. For those who love swimming, aquatic facilities are numerous. These sites offer every activity to do with water that you can imagine, and then more. Also, there are spray and splash pads at three area parks, which offer fun activities for kids of all ages.

I am the father of a beautiful family and decided to move to Chandler Arizona to raise my children a year ago.

I made a great choice because it is a very ethnically diverse city, and being around different cultures is something I want my kids to value. The city is also full of various fun family activities like its Chandler Aquatics center which has pools and water rides for the old and young alike. Other popular specialty facilities include the Chandler Bike Park where my young teenager enjoys practicing his tricks with other community bmx bikers.

For my youngest child there is playtopia a two and a half acre area which is sectioned into themes such as farmland, city land, and critter land. There are also several other amenities for the family and corporate gatherings as well such as barbeque grills, sand volleyball and horseshoe pits. Chandler is also developing a new "socially interactive" museum which is where members of the community will congregate and learn from each other and create the exhibits. Chandler is host to several special community events some of which my family has been a part of, including the multicultural festival, the car and hot rod show, the Jazz festival and a slew of other events spread out through each month of the year.

I believe the November golf challenge is my personal favorite because I am an avid golfer and the proceeds from the tournament will be used for Chandler Special Olympics programs.
